Mikee’s full scope expertise in both residential and commercial design and décor includes drawings and concepts, product source and placement, art consultation and installation, and everything in between. Equally adept at smaller projects like event-specific space refreshes and full-scale new builds or renovations, Mikee Smythe Interiors ensures its clients are reflected in every component of design.

Founder
Mikee Smythe
Raised by an interior designer and international businessman, Mikee grew up shopping European markets, rummaging antique stores, and exploring residential construction sites. These experiences and her natural inquisitiveness honed Mikee’s delightful Anglophilia and exposed her to global cultural influences. Her early interest in the arts and dance led to her first art award during her junior year of high school, numerous subsequent art shows, and more than 15 years of dance performance.
Mikee’s decision to convert passion into career was influenced by designers like Charles Faudree, Charlotte Moss, and Bunny Williams, whose “An Affair with a House” tops her list of favorite reads. She thrives on bringing unique creativity to client spaces and problem-solving design challenges, and the service-mindedness instilled during childhood makes Mikee a valuable partner to her clients. Mikee graduated from Texas Christian University with a dual major in communications and fine art and married her post-college beau, with whom she has two teenage daughters and an Irish Terrier. She is a voracious reader and to this day, she can literally dance circles around anyone.

Hilary Pirkle
Hilary is the accounting brain that keeps Mikee Smythe Interiors running efficiently, accurately and timely. As a CPA with a Masters in Finance from Texas A&M, she manages the firm’s billing, payroll, reconciliation and other finance needs.
When she’s not directing the finances, Hilary finds joy in running, spending time with her husband, two young children and rescue dogs, and furthering her lifelong commitment to the Young and the Restless, British period dramas and reality TV.
